Whispering Water Lilies is a peaceful and expressive palette knife painting workshop inspired by the beauty of water gardens, flowing reflections and vibrant blooming lilies.

In this workshop, you will learn how to use palette knife techniques to create rich textures, movement and layered colour effects while painting luminous water lilies floating across a tranquil river landscape. You will explore expressive painting techniques, colour harmony and ways to create depth and light within water reflections.

These workshops are guided by artist and educator Ellie Ahmadi, who brings more than 30 years of teaching experience and has worked with thousands of students throughout her artistic career. Ellie holds a Master of Fine Arts degree from the National Art School Sydney and has also completed studies at the University of Art. She shares her professional techniques, artistic process and creative knowledge in a warm, inspiring and supportive environment.

By the end of the workshop, you will complete your own finished artwork on a 40 x 50 cm canvas to take home. All materials are included, so there is no need to bring anything — simply arrive and enjoy a relaxing and inspiring creative experience.
